Player count and crossplay

Big Walk supports two to twelve players and crossplay between supported systems. The host chooses a two-player, three-player or four-plus-player world when starting a session.

There is no single-player campaign and no random matchmaking. It is designed for a group that can return to the same save over multiple sessions.

How joining works

Friends on the same platform service should see the host's active game. Otherwise, the host can share a short join code generated when the session starts.

The host owns the save and must start future sessions if the group wants to continue from the same progress.

Voice and text chat

The game supports in-game voice and text chat. Text chat follows the same intentional limits as voice chat, including distance and soundproof barriers, so players without a microphone can still play the full experience.
