Why bags matter

Backpacks and hip bags let players carry more exploration items while keeping the group mobile. ScreenHype notes that a player with both bag types can carry a backpack item, a hip item and one item in their hands.

Round lanterns are an exception in ScreenHype's testing: they help routes and puzzles, but they do not attach to backpacks in the same way as normal carryable gear.

How to equip a bag

A bag is a co-op item. Another player needs to pick it up and attach it to your avatar when the interaction circle appears on your body.

ScreenHype describes bag buildings as blue, circular structures with short ramps. There are nine blue bag structures and ten total bags because the far southeast structure contains both a backpack and a hip bag.
